La Scena Musicale presents Singing Valentines!
A Memorable Romantic Experience
Montreal, QC, Feb. 11, 2020 – This Valentine’s season, for the cost of a bouquet of flowers, offer a unique valentine! For the tenth year, La Scena Musicale has been providing individuals an opportunity to deliver a unique gift to their loved ones regardless of their location.
Six professionally trained singers offer their time on Valentines Day, to help raise funds for La Scena Musicale and to give a special gift through song. “It has been a few years since I received such a wonderful gift from my husband… Hearing Deh vieni alla finestra [from Don Giovanni]was so much nicer than a card… Last month it made me cry in a very joyous way when the baritone [Gino Quilico] called me offering me the song my husband had chosen,” stated Wendy Marston regarding her Singing Valentine experience in 2019.
This year’s singers, including reknown baritone Gino Quillico, tenor Adrian Rodriguez, tenor Wah Keung Chan, soprano Chantal Dionne, mezzo-soprano Marie-Annick Béliveau and singer Dino Spaziani, have a repertoire of 35 selections between them. Ranging from popular songs like Charlie Chaplin’s Smile, My Funny Valentine by Rodgers & Hart and Love Me Tender by Matson & Presley to memorable operatic arias such as Mozart’s, Deh vieni a la finestra (Don Giovanni), Pucinni’s Che gelida manina (La Bohème) and Saint-Saens’ Mon coeur s’ouvre à ta voix (Samson et Dalila).
For a $30-$70 donation, $75-$100 for our celebrity singer, you can provide your loved one with the Romantic experience of a lifetime. A repeat customer of our Singing Valentines who has always ordered a song for her mother placed her order last week and wrote: “Maestro Quilico was so nice and compassionate with her that she often talks of this Valentine Gift as memorable…”
La Scena Musicale is a charitable not for profit organization based in Montreal, which promotes classical music and the arts through the written word.
