Concert de deux pièces sur la thème de réconciliation. Bridge a écrit sa sonate alors que l’Europe était crevée par le déclenchement de la Première Guerre mondiale. Grieg a dédié sa sonate à son frère aliéné, celui qui etait violoncelliste amateur.
A concert of two pieces in search of reconciliation. Bridge wrote his Sonata as Europe was cloven by the outbreak of WWI. Grieg dedicated his sonata to his estranged brother, an amateur cellist.
