Guest Soloist: David Jalbert, piano
Named by the CBC as one of the 15 best Canadian pianists of all time, David Jalbert is also professor of piano at the University of Ottawa. He brings his elegance and warmth to Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 1 as part of this celebration of 50 years of the School of Music.
The Leningrad Symphony has come to be a hymn of resistance to fascism, but the work also stands for the triumph of human spirit. Hear this message ring out through the collaboration of two grand Ottawa orchestras.
