This Music Toronto presentation is the third in a new series of Sunday afternoon concerts called MUSE (Music Unveiled, Stories, Explorations). MUSE performances start at 3 pm take place at the Jane Mallett Theatre.

With infectious curiosity and a gift for revealing the deeper meaning within great works, Rob Kapilow has captivated audiences for decades. This time, Rob explores Dvořák’s Piano Quintet in A major, Op. 81, one of the most beloved works in the chamber music repertoire. The Gryphon Trio, joined by Noa Sarid on violin and Sharon Wei on viola, bring this rich, folk-infused masterpiece to life as Rob unpacks its melodies, structure and emotional depth. Whether you’re hearing this piece for the first time or the hundredth, you’ll come away with a newfound appreciation.
