Cecilia Concerts Presents: Acclaimed for his commanding stage presence, magnificent tone, and musical integrity, award-winning violinist Kerson Leong performs Eugène Ysaÿe’s six sonatas for solo violin, Op. 27, on a 1741 Guarneri del Gesu violin. A not-to-be-missed event, Ysaÿe’s technically arduous sonatas for unaccompanied violin are rarely performed as a whole in recital. Leong has been a soloist with the Oslo-Philharmonien, Wiener Kammer Orchester, Stavanger Symfoniorkester, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, l’Orchestre symphonique de Quebec, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. He has also collaborated with many of the world’s top conductors. This past year included his Carnegie Hall debut with the North American premiere of John Rutter’s latest work, along with debuts with the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Stockton Symphony Orchestra.

Un événement à ne pas manquer, les sonates techniquement ardues de Ysaÿe pour violon non accompagné sont rarement interprétées dans leur ensemble en récital. Kerson a été soliste avec l’Orchestre philharmonique d’Oslo, l’Orchestre Wiener Kammer, le Stavanger Symfoniorkester, l’Orchestre symphonique de Toronto, l’Orchestre symphonique de Québec et l’Orchestre du Centre national des Arts. Il a également collaboré avec plusieurs des meilleurs chefs d’orchestre au monde. Au cours de l’année écoulée, il a fait ses débuts au Carnegie Hall avec la première nord-américaine de la dernière œuvre de John Rutter, ainsi que ses débuts avec le Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, le Royal Philharmonic Orchestra et le Stockton Symphony Orchestra.
