Dedicated to woodwinds and brass instruments, the 81st edition of the OSM Competition unfolds between October 21 and December 12, 2020. In these times of uncertainty, the OSM has chosen innovation: this year, an entirely digital edition was designed with artists and music lovers in mind, from coast to coast to coast.

Faithful to its mission of supporting emerging generations of Canadian musicians, the Competition will award over $45,000 in cash prizes, and offer performance and training opportunities to the winners. The ICI Musique prize provides funding for a professional audio recording in one of Radio-Canada’s studios as well as its broadcast, while music lovers will be able to vote for the artist of their choice, thanks to the Stingray Audience Award. Candidates will also benefit from training and master classes with professional musicians.

Use this new platform to learn more about the candidates, jury, and musicians of the OSM. Follow step by step the many great moments of this 81st edition of the OSM Competition!
