We are delighted to announce the launch of our new web platform mySCENA.org, just in time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of La Scena Musicale!

The *beta version of mySCENA consolidates La Scena Musicale’s online activity—blog posts, web news, newswire (press releases), and back issues of the magazine—under one address. Our aim is to be the best source for News in classical music, jazz, and the arts.

MySCENA will offer users a more personalized experience; users can create a profile to receive the latest Classical music and arts news plus upcoming events on their personalized homepage. In a later phase, we plan to develop tools for organizations to better connect to their audiences.

While maintaining all of the features you have come to rely upon through scena.org and our news blogs, we are working hard to roll out the next phase of mySCENA within the next few weeks. Among other exciting developments, the next phase will bring our events calendar into the mySCENA categorization system. This means you will be able to filter events according to your taste, just like your news!

Registration to mySCENA will be available in the coming weeks, beginning with subscribers, contributors, and volunteers to the magazine. If you are not a subscriber, we invite you to purchase or renew your subscription to La Scena Musicale. Not only do subscribers get an exclusive first look at the new website along with the latest issue of La Scena Musicale delivered to their door, they will be able to access other exclusive features, including digital downloads of the Discovery CDs.

It takes time to sort through a twenty-year-old archive, including giving credit to our valued contributors and volunteer translators. Over the summer, a dedicated team of interns will make entire back issues of La Scena Musicale available in HTML for the first time. Rest assured that any material will eventually find its way to the right place and be attributed to the right people. We appreciate your patience and understanding through this transition period.

We would appreciate any feedback you may have about the website’s appearance, usability, and features. Please fill out the survey below with any concerns you may have. Here is an updated list of known issues with the beta platform.

We look forward to sharing this exciting new project with you!
