The Kabir Cultural Center invites you to a magnificent show featuring 2 virtuosos: PRATTYUSH BANERJEE – sarod and INDRANIL MALLICK – tabla.
Born in Calcutta, Prattyush Banerjee was brought up in a rich musical ambience amidst distinguished artistes. Prattyush has been performing in public since he was 11 and has featured at major venues in India and around the globe.
Prattyush belongs to the Senia Shahjahanpur gharana. He is taking sarod playing to new levels. His highly individualistic approach of playing is marked by a solid technique and a rare musical sensibility.
Indranil Mallick, a promising tabla player of rare skill, has already established himself both as a soloist and accompanist.
Born to a family of genuine music connoisseurs, he received his initial training in tabla when he was only five. Indranil belongs to Luckhnow Gharana style of tabla. He is a grade ‘A’ artist of All India Radio, Kolkata where he is featured regularly on programs aired throughout India.

Prattyush appartient au Senia Shahjahanpur gharana. Il amène le jeu de sarode à de nouveaux niveaux. Son approche très individualiste du jeu est marquée par une technique solide et une sensibilité musicale rare.
Indranil Mallick, joueur de tabla d’une rare capacité, s’est déjà imposé comme soliste et accompagnateur. Issu d’une famille de véritables connaisseurs de musique, il a reçu sa formation initiale au tabla dès l’âge de cinq ans. Indranil appartient au style de tabla Luckhnow Gharana. Il est artiste de grade «A» de All India Radio, Kolkata, où il est régulièrement présenté dans des programmes diffusés dans toute l’Inde.
