Alain Trudel returns to conduct the OSO for this grand season finale of classic Russian masterworks, including a performance of Prokofiev’s 1st Piano Concerto by renowned local pianist David Jalbert. To open this concert, the OSO has commissioned a new brass & percussion fanfare as an homage to Prokofiev. A world premiere not to be missed!

ON THE PROGRAM:

• Piano Concerto No. 1 in D-flat major, Op. 10 – Sergei Prokofiev (1891–1953)

• Symphony No. 10 in E minor, Op. 93 – Dmitri Shostakovich (1906–1975)
