Lennie Gallant is a native of Rustico, Prince Edward Island and proud Order of Canada recipient. This renowned Canadian singer-songwriter has recorded eleven albums (nine in English and two in French), which have won him a host of awards and nominations from the JUNOs, ECMA’s and Les Prix Eloizes. Recently he was honoured with the Canadian Folk Music Award for Artist of the Year and was the winner of the 2017 East Coast Music Awards Entertainer of the Year and Folk Recording of the Year for his live album, “Searching For Abegweit”.
His successful multimedia hit musical, “Searching For Abegweit – The Island Songs & Stories of Lennie Gallant” ran for over 140 shows and featured visuals / paintings by his sister, Karen Gallant. Lennie is the author of the delightful Peter’s Dream, a book which features many of her images.
