Raoul and The Big Time is one of the most highly regarded and awarded blues acts in Canada.
The Big Time features Darren Gallen on guitar, Terry Wilkins on upright bass, and Tom Bona on
drums. Their energetic mix of Toronto, Chicago, and Hollywood blues has won them numerous
awards on a national level at the Maple Blues and Real Blues Awards, including Best New
Artist, Best Debut CD, and multiple instrumental awards.

Since forming in the summer of 1998, they have released four records to critical acclaim, have
performed on the mainstages of many major festivals across Canada and performed or
recorded with the likes of Bettye LaVette, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Downchild Blues Band, Junior
Watson, Big Dave McLean, Rick Holmstrom, Kirk Fletcher, Fred Kaplan, Curtis Salgado,
Richard Innes, Rusty Zinn, Mark Hummel, Big Joe Maher and many more. This is a not-to-miss
show for blues fans! Hugh’s Room is proud to present these blues legends on Saturday,
February 28, 2026 (details to follow).
