Afin d’inaugurer la série de clocher en clocher, nous vous convions à la cathédrale ukrainienne orthodoxe Sainte-Sophie pour un concert intitulé Slava ! et célébrant la musique de compositeurs d’Europe de l’est et de compositeurs canadiens ayant des origines slaves. Au grand chef-d’œuvre de Rachmaninoff, les Vêpres, s’ajoutent des œuvres de Hurko et de Koshetz, ainsi que deux pièces écrites spécifiquement pour cet événement par Larysa Kuzmenko et Petros Shoujounian.
For the first concert in our new series, De clocher en clocher, you’re invited to Saint Sophie Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral for Slava! to celebrate the music of eastern European composers and Canadian musicians with Slavic heritage. Rachmaninoff’s majestic Vespers will be joined by works by Hurko and Koshetz, as well as two new commissions by Larysa Kuzmenko and Petros Shoujounian.
