Malvenn is a traditional music trio based in Montreal, featuring Charlotte Layec on clarinet, Mckinley James on cello, and Cécile Delage on Celtic harp. Active on various musical scenes in Canada and internationally, the three musicians draw on their diverse backgrounds to offer a fresh and original take on balfolk and fest-noz traditions. Their repertoire brings new life to these styles with creativity and nuance, resulting in a unique and contemporary sound.
The trio performs regularly in Montreal and has appeared at festivals such as Le Grand Bal du Québec in Hatley (QC), Dance Flurry in Saratoga Springs (NY), and Chants de Vielles in Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu (QC).
