Born in Montreal to a Syrian family and a member of the MUZ Vision Diversité 2025 cohort, Nadine Altounji sings and performs on oud and guitar, creating a musical universe where Aleppo, Lima, and Montreal meet.
In From the Andes to the Euphrates via Montreal, performed as a trio with Cécile Doo-Kingué on guitar and Ziya Tabassian on percussion, she brings together Arabic modal traditions, Peruvian rhythms, and the French chanson. Together, they weave a musical landscape that is both intimate and luminous, where voices, strings, and percussion reveal the invisible connections that unite us—like roots reaching toward one another across time and cultures.
