Summersett is the outcome of a creative and romantic duality. Together, Nick Carpenter and Patricia Summersett write their story in song – songs of collision, of craving, of love and renewal. Their music is eclectic, carrying the influence of artists like Franz Schubert, Rufus Wainwright, Leonard Cohen and Tina Dico. Summersett surrounds itself with classical and jazz musicians to complete its sound; a piano/voice core with bass, drums, cello and violin. Act One is the perfect tribute to a long-awaited spring – pushing up fresh, and brimming with warmth and desire.
