The Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, with singer Jamie Buckboro as our special
guest, will play some of our favourites on April 23^rd. Please join us for With A Little Help From My Friends: The Beatles Songbook.

The song-writing of John Lennon and Paul McCartney was a fruitful and fascinating partnership and, together, they generated hit song after hit song. The Beatles had been toiling in obscurity for years when success finally came, and it was a landslide. Often overshadowed by the cultural phenomenon that was Beatlemania was their magnificent song-writing that sounds fresh and inventive even today. Featuring songs arranged by Winnipeg’s own: Niall Cade, Richard Gillis, Greg Crowe, Jeff Presslaff and Brady Gill as well as Chico O’Farill’s arrangement of All My Loving (Count Basie and his Orchestra: Basie’s Beatle Bag) and Bill Holman’s arrangement of Norwegian Wood (Buddy Rich and his Big Band.)
