“Four Centuries/Berlin-Montreal-TO” locates a wonderfully varied program with two virtuoso guest artists join Sinfonia Toronto for the orchestra’s first concert of the new year. A cheerful Mozart Divertimento and a new Fantasia ‘Conjure You’ by Toronto composer/producer David Jaeger open. Then brilliant Quebec cellist Noémie Raymond will play the famous Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto No. 1, and Berlin Philharmonic oboist Cristoph Hartmann will appear in two beautiful works, JS Bach’s Oboe Concerto in D minor and the premiere of a new concerto by Toronto composer Norbert Palej.
