Cecilia Concerts Presents: Join award-winning pianist Andrew Son on the final stop of his Atlantic Canada tour for a free afternoon concert of Chopin, Scarlatti, Mendelssohn, and Rachmaninoff. Winner of the 2018 Atlantic Young Artist Competition, and no stranger to the stage, Son was recently awarded the Piano Rose Bowl at the Kiwanis Music Festival in Halifax and represented Nova Scotia at the 2015 Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Association National Piano Competition in Vancouver. A Dalhousie University student, Son was a long-time student of the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts and currently studies with pianist Lynn Stodola. The Atlantic Young Artist Competition and associated tour are projects of the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Associations and its provincial counterparts in Atlantic Canada, including the Nova Scotia Registered Music Teachers’ Association.
