In a blaze of energy, 17 artists from around the world display an exhilarating collective momentum. Sol Invictus is a universal declaration of love for dance.
For Hervé Koubi, a French choreographer originally from Algeria, dance is an act of resistance. Looking beyond borders, cultures, aesthetics, and genres, he aspires to recreate, through danced gatherings, genuine encounters based on mutual aid, solidarity, and communion. The stage becomes a melting pot where each evening a solar rite is re-enacted, enhanced by an original musical composition by Mikael Karlsson and Maxime Bodson, as well as works from the repertoires of Steve Reich and Beethoven. Seventeen virtuoso artists with distinctive personalities take over the space, dancing, running, leaping, whirling, and twirling, performing breathtaking physical feats with infectious joy. A veritable hymn to life and harmonious co-existence, Sol Invictus reveals our profound connections and the unifying power of dance. Spectacular!
