La Scena Musicale is mobilizing an international movement to deliver the joy of music with CORONA Serenades.

  • Free for front-line care workers and people with the coronavirus and those age 70+.
  • Send a personalized video of your favourite song or aria performed by a trained singer
  • Send a message of joy in a challenging time and reach out to your loved ones with music you love
  • Contribute to the world of arts directly by supporting a singer

About CORONA Serenades

Cost:

  • Donations requested: suggested amount $30-$70 at http://bit.ly/CSDonVar
  • FREE Option: The service is free for recipients who are infected by the virus and for front-line health care workers. Donations and tips are welcome.
  • All donations will be gratefully acknowledged with a tax receipt (La Scene Musicale is a registered charity in Canada, no. 141996579RP0001)

To Order:

  • For front-line workers and coronavirus patients (free), fill out the order form/questionnaire. You will be asked to choose the type of music for the recipient, and a singer will be chosen by us.
  • For Others, there is a requested donation of $30-$70. Make your donation via PayPal or credit card using the following link http://bit.ly/CSDonVarR and you will be redirected to the questionnaire. Note, you can choose the singer and the song.
  • A private link to the video will be emailed to the client and the recipient.

CORONA Serenade Musicians Relief Fund

  • Donations to CORONA Serenade will go to the CORONA Serenade Musicians Relief Fund (60%) and La Scene Musicale (40%), a registered charity. The fund will distribute gifts as follows:
  • 40% of a donation for a serenade will be given to the singer
  • 20% of a donation will be added to the pool
  • At the end of every month, the pool will be distributed to participating singers in need

How to be a CORONA Serenade Singer

  • Please send a CV to [email protected]. Participating singers can opt to donate their share of donations to the pool. The following are required:
  • A photo (minimum 700 x 350 pixels)
  • List of available repertoire (solo or self-accompanied)
  • Smartphone with video capability
  • Internet to upload your video to our server
  • Link to a video or audio sample
  • Optional: link to your website and social media
  • Time to make five to 10 video serenades a day
  • A PayPal account
  • For promotional purposes, it is suggested that participating singers make and share a short video on their social media platform of preference (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) that explains the initiative and provides the website address mySCENA.org. And perhaps also offers a little “teaser”!
