New York, NY (July 11, 2020) – The Metropolitan Opera announced its entry into live pay-per-view concert events today, unveiling a lineup of 12 concerts from summer to fall featuring some of opera’s biggest stars in striking locations across Europe and the United States. Katie Miller, mezzo-soprano (Canada), singer for Corona Sérénades Katie began her musical journey competing as a young pianist and on stage as part of the Langley Ukulele Ensemble. She studied piano and voice as an undergraduate and earned a masters of music in opera performance from the University of British Columbia in 2015. While many European festivals have been forced to cancel their entire summer season, Daniele Vimini, the president of the outdoor Rossini Opera Festival (ROF), has announced that two staged productions and six recitals will be presented this summer in Pesaro, with adjustments made in order to protect the musicians as well as the public.
