Wiikondiwin, meaning feasting or feast, is the title of Odawa composer Barbara Croall’s latest project, a commission by the Highlands Opera Studio in partnership with the Atelier Lyrique de L’Opera de Montreal. Valerie Kuinka, general director of the Highlands Opera Studio, approached Croall a number of years ago about the possibility of commissioning an opera. The Rolston String Quartet ’16Norfolk has been named the new fellowship quartet-in-residence at the Yale School of Music. The group, whose previous residencies include the Yale Summer School of Music/Norfolk Chamber Music Festival in the summer of 2016, will begin their tenure at YSM this fall. The Milton Quartet wins the Gold Medal & Grand Prize at the 2017 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. Following in the footsteps of the Lloyd Carr-Harris Quartet, winner in 2005, the quartet studies under the tutelage of Prof. André J.
