From July 21 to August 2, 2026, the Festival d’opéra de Québec will celebrate its 15th anniversary. Under the theme “Si grand, si humain” (So grand, so human), the event will blend historical and modern works, family activities, and free performances across the city’s heritage sites. The flagship opera will be Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, directed by Olivier Py and starring Hélène Guilmette, Julie Boulianne, and Frédéric Antoun. Audiences will journey through five centuries of music, from Monteverdi to the contemporary creation L’hiver attend beaucoup de moi. Families will delight in Fables lyriques, while Ma belle opérette ! promises a unifying musical experience. Finally, the massive, free outdoor concert “Sors tes grands airs !” will bring together over 100 artists on August 2.
