We are delighted to announce the launch of our new web platform mySCENA.org beta.
There are a number of issues and bugs with the platform that we are aware of and actively fixing. Several have arisen due to complications with making our web platform fully bilingual, others are due to the sheer amount of archival material transferred over to the new platform.
It takes time to sort through a twenty-year-old archive, including giving credit to our valued contributors and volunteer translators. Over the summer, a dedicated team of interns will make entire back issues of La Scena Musicale available in HTML for the first time. Rest assured that any archival material will eventually find its way to the right place and be attributed to the right people.
Below are a list of known issues that may adversely impact your experience of mySCENA. If you notice an issue not mentioned on the list, we would greatly appreciate your feedback in the form below. In the spirit of full transparency, we will update this post periodically. We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this transition period.
List of Known Bugs and Issues
- Current Issue box
on homepage next to feature slider not displaying cover article properly. Once this is resolved, we can upload the HTML version of the most recent issue, Vol. 21-7, June/July/August 2016.- Current Issue Box not linked to current PDF (error message)
- Current Issue Box says “past issues” on French Homepage
- List of back issues on French side of the site are linked to English versions instead of French translations.
- Past issues and blog posts need to be attributed to correct authors, organized, linked to translations (if available) and sorted into the mySCENA categorization system.
Author attribution on French side of site should be “Par” Author not “By” Author.- The Featured Slider and Current Issues box is showing at the top of About Us and Contact Us pages in French.
Typo in coding on French side of site above the box where someone makes a comment that has compromised its utility.- Duplicate copies of several articles exist in the database.
We would appreciate any feedback you may have about the website’s appearance, usability, and features. Please fill out the survey below with any concerns you may have. As always, you can contact us here.
