Mandle Philharmonic presents two incredible symphonies that tell a fascinating story about musical influence and inspiration. We start with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8—his most lighthearted and playful symphony—then move to Brahms’ powerful Symphony No. 1, which took him over twenty years to finish because he was so intimidated by Beethoven’s reputation.

Beethoven’s Eighth is pure fun. It’s got that famous “tick-tock” movement that sounds like a metronome, but somehow becomes completely magical. This is Beethoven when he’s not trying to change the world—just enjoying himself and showing off his incredible skill.
