With this ensemble, saxophonist André Larue presents a concert built on spontaneity. Drawing on years of musical collaboration and deep mutual listening, each musician brings inventive improvisations to a warm, swing-driven style. The program features a refined yet accessible selection of music, including reimagined jazz standards, works by the great jazz masters, selections from the popular repertoire, and a number of original compositions. A celebrated musician, composer, arranger, and producer, André Larue has enjoyed a distinguished career spanning more than four decades. Recipient of the Oliver Jones Award in 1995, he has performed throughout Québec and internationally in musical settings ranging from jazz and pop to world music, blues, and funk. Renowned for his versatility and expressive playing, he continues to captivate audiences with performances that are both dynamic and deeply engaging.
