ICFF TO the Beat: AWA presents J Nichole

African Women Acting (AWA) is a pan-African non-profit dedicated to empowering women, artists, and youth through cultural initiatives. Its mission is to educate, train, and mentor African women through production, presentation, volunteer opportunities, and participation in the Niagara Afro Festival. While centered on African women, AWA embraces diverse communities and fosters cross-cultural collaboration. The organization promotes appreciation of traditional and contemporary African arts, including music, film, and visual arts. Through its work, AWA encourages inclusiveness, community engagement, and lasting impact while celebrating heritage and amplifying marginalized voices globally.
