With Voies du Monde (Paths of the World), the Chœur Baobab, under the direction of Claude-Marie Landré, invites you on a vibrant musical journey. This colorful concert brings together gospel, contemporary, and traditional songs from across the globe, performed in fifteen languages and celebrating the richness and beauty of the human experience.
Known for its passion and infectious energy, the Chœur Baobab reminds us that music is a powerful way for people to share their stories, express joy and sorrow, and find the strength to face adversity. Audiences will be swept away by a diverse repertoire featuring music from the Cree First Nations, the Kraô people of Brazil, traditional Québécois and Haitian songs, and many more musical traditions.
The choir is joined by the mesmerizing sound of the oud, Gypsy guitar, and percussion, alongside acclaimed guest artists including singer-songwriter Nadine Altounji, and percussionists Nicolas Bégin and Elli Miller-Maboungou. The blend of voices and the richness of the instrumental textures will resonate deeply, uniting hearts along the paths of the world.
