She brings English composer Ruth Gipps’s vivid Second Symphony, which is complemented by Vaughan Williams’s haunting pastoral romance The Lark Ascending, performed by violinist Anna Stube, this season’s MacLachlan/Ridge Emerging Artist. Schubert’s Fifth Symphony opens the evening with infectious good cheer.
