Montréal nonet collectif9 presents their first concert at Bourgie Hall after receiving several honours at the 2025 Opus Awards: “Performer of the Year” for the group and “Artistic Director of the Year” for director Thibault Bertin-Maghit. This programme explores the passacaglia, that is, music composed over a repetitive bass line—a genre straight from the 17th century that has inspired artists from Frescobaldi to Caroline Shaw over the past 400 years.
