In August 2023, Miina released her debut EP Slow Motion, an impeccable, multi-layered collection produced by Gus Van Go (Beaches, Metric). The release marked the start of a dynamic first year, during which Miina’s singles Hiccup (featuring and co-written with acclaimed songwriter Lowell) and Pressure received extensive radio play across Canada. Writing for Rifflandia Magazine, Michael Luis captured the essence of her sound: “Miina is the sound of the sunlight cutting through the foliage. Everything is brighter, funkier, more danceable, but with love for the environment and human emotion.” Having opened for celebrated artists like k.d. lang, Shakey Graves, Sam Roberts, Bedouin Soundclash, and Moontricks, Miina has proven herself to be a captivating performer who can hold her own alongside some of the industry’s most respected names. Her music builds community—each performance a gathering of hearts, rooted in authenticity, compassion, and the shared human experience. Looking ahead, Miina will release her debut full-length album in 2026 – Where the Light Goes. Miina’s sound is more than music; it’s a movement—toward connection, toward care for the planet, and toward a more open-hearted world.
