Pellegrini Productions is proud to announce their partnership with Leonardo da Vinci Centre in its initial collaboration presenting live theatre. This is the first of what is hoped to be many joint ventures for the Centre, bringing professional theatre to both its patrons and greater Montreal area audiences.

In its quest to showcase new events that celebrate the cultural diversity of Montreal, the Centre has taken a more active role in ensuring the presentation of such works. With its plush velvet seats and pin-drop acoustics, the Mirella and Lino Saputo Theatre, inspired by La Scala in Milan, guarantees no bad seats in the house.

Pat Buttino, cultural and general director of Leonardo da Vinci Centre, entered into discussions with playwright Tony Calabretta and director Antonio DiVerdis with great interest, “This is a first-of-its-kind offer at the Centre since we have never before presented a long-running production. We look forward to a successful run because as the saying goes, ‘nothing breeds success like success’; a hit show would be the first of many future partnerships.”

Calabretta (writer of Damn Those Wedding Bells!, along with respected roles in theatre, television and film) had this to say, “The Centre has never had a project of this magnitude and I can’t be more delighted for the opportunity to present my latest work there. Montreal is fortunate to have this beautiful theatre which also values cultural heritage.”
