Public Debate on the Arts
Montréal, September 4, 2015 – With the approaching Canadian federal election on October 19, 2015, La Scena Musicale, in collaboration with the Chapelle historique du Bon-Pasteur, is organizing a public debate on the arts. Each of the five main political parties were invited to send a representative to discuss their platforms and plans to help the arts community. The debate will be bilingual (50% in English and 50% in French).

  • Pierre Nantel, MP and candidate for the NDP in Longueuil – St-Hubert, 
  • Jici Lauzon, candidate for the Green Party in Pierre-Boucher – Les Patriotes – Verchères, 
  • Stéphane Dion, MP and candidate for the Liberal Party in St-Laurent, 
  • and Sophie Stanké, candidate for the Bloc Québécois in Châteauguay-Lacolle

The debate is open free to the public and the arts community is invited to attend (reservations required).
