For its closing night, the Festival is presenting an encounter at the peak of sacred art, a mystical journey with leading artists from various Sufi traditions, offering the public a unique opportunity for an ultimate ecstatic experience! In Sufi Summit, five traditions meet, through the nuances and embellishment of interpretation or through the affinity of rhythms or melodies, following separate paths to initiation but always converging on the same liberating trance.
Whether of the Mawlawi, Persian or Qawwali tradition, Khaled Alhafed (Syria), Abir Nasraoui (Tunisia), Abdelkarim Shaar (Lebanon), Mushfiq Hachimi (Afghanistan) and Habib Hoseini (Iran), each in their own way, express their connection to the upper garden of the Almighty! Intoxicated by the mystical ardour of the poems of Rumi and Khayyam, they thrill spectators and convey them to dancing celestial gardens, endlessly radiating the immeasurable love of the Divine.
In the footsteps of Rumi, Khayyam and Shams-ed-Dīn Tabrīzī, the Festival’s guests provide an unprecedented immersion in the fascinating world of Sufism. This evening of communion invites all listeners to become revealed unto themselves, exploring their deepest spiritual emotions!
Come and drink from the infinite source of Divine Love. Savour the chants in religious silence, let go of yourself momentarily and discover a deeply erudite and mystical world. You need not be Arab or Persian to enjoy it: if your heart is in it, the ecstasy of the Sufis will take hold of you, an ecstasy that calls upon the sublime and the harmonious!
