Sounding Thunder brings to life the struggles and accomplishments of Francis Pegahmagabow, distinguished Ojibwe military officer and political leader, following his journey from the trenches of WWI to his time as Chief of the Wasauksing Ojibwe. This cultural collaboration paying homage to the legacy of a Canadian hero acts as a reminder of the challenges Indigenous populations still face to this day. Commissioned and produced by the Festival of the Sound.
