Thomas Annand is pulling out all the stops for this Chamberfest organ recital! For this performance, Annand will play the extraordinary 1964 Casavant neo-baroque organ of Dominion-Chalmers—Ottawa’s largest wind instrument—recently restored and re-voiced. His programme pays tribute to the organist-composer William France who oversaw the installation of the organ, as well as other Ottawa composers past and present. The programme concludes with Bach’s mighty Passacaglia which showcases the sonic possibilities of this instrument.
