Chamberfest welcomes Julie Nesrallah, mezzo-soprano and CBC Tempo host, back to our stage with Heat, a program featuring “the sexiest songs in classical music.” Joined by pianist Guy Few, these two treasured Canadian personalities explore a spicy Iberian palette with works by De Falla, Montsalvatge, Debussy, Saint-Saëns, and of course – a bit of Bizet’s Carmen. As both a singer and a radio host, Nesrallah’s warm and sultry voice is, in the words of Eric Friesen, “her defining presence,” while virtuoso Guy Few is known for his “flawless… wild, and joyous” performances.
