Welcome to Duo Cecilia‘s Musical Kitchen! In this concert, Gertrude (flute) and Catherine (piano), wearing chef’s hats and aprons, blend the music of Widor, Damase, Saint-Saëns, and Bizet with comparisons of French cuisine and musical ingredients. Children will discover the parallels between a flute cadenza and a chocolate’s surprising filling, and learn that crafting a sonata is comparable to making a pizza! With four different flutes and the piano, there’s a variety of musical flavors to enjoy. Join us for this enchanting musical feast!
