Projet canadien maintenant devenu légendaire, cette nouvelle édition de Génération permettra à quatre jeunes compositeurs d’explorer la matière sonore avec les musiciens de l’ECM+ et Véronique Lacroix. Mini-Concerts et ateliers publics de composition animés par Gabriel Dharmoo révèleront aux mélomanes le processus d’écriture musicale qui se cache derrière le travail de Bekah Simms* (T.-N.-L. / Ont.), Gabriel Dufour-Laperrière (Qc), Stefan Maier (C.-B.) et Matthew Ricketts (C.-B. / NY), tous triés sur le volet par le biais d’un Grand Jury national à l’été 2019.

A Canadian project now become a legend, the latest edition of Generation will give four young composers the opportunity to explore sound with the musicians of the ECM+ and Véronique Lacroix. Mini-Concerts and public composition workshops led by Gabriel Dharmoo will give music lovers a glimpse into the musical writing process behind the work of Bekah Simms* (N.L./Ont.), Gabriel Dufour-Laperrière (Que.), Stefan Maier (B.C.) and Matthew Ricketts (B.C./NY), each of which were selected by a prestigious national jury in the summer of 2019.
