Trio Mikis brings together three accomplished musicians in a musical journey inspired by the traditions of the Mediterranean, from Greece and Italy to France and Syria.
Featuring Omar Abou Afach (viola, oud, and nay), Luzio Altobelli (accordion), and Christophe Papadimitriou(double bass), the trio creates a distinctive sound world where Mediterranean influences meet through original compositions and inspired improvisation.
The rich blend of acoustic timbres, the musicians’ deep musical connection, and the constant dialogue between their instruments give rise to music that is warm, poetic, and profoundly human.
