For its 15th edition, the Festival d’opéra de Québec invites you to a total immersive experience with Francis Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, a true masterpiece of the 20th-century French repertoire.
Driven by music of exceptional emotional power, this historical drama follows the intimate journey of Blanche de La Force, a young woman confronted with fear, doubt, and the weight of choice. The opera powerfully explores themes that still resonate deeply today: inner freedom, individual conscience, faith, courage, and how to stand firm against political oppression.
