The refined arrangement of Mozart’s dramatic Concerto K. 466 by the influential pianist, composer and teacher Carl Czerny invites us into the intimacy of a Viennese salon. For its part, the young Wolfgang’s Flute Quartet, K. 285, one of the two flute concertos that the gifted composer completed during his short life, is a brilliant showpiece for this instrument.
