Finnish-Ukrainian conductor Dalia Stasevska invites us to experience a symphonic aurora borealis, from the majestic Finlandia to the Harp Concerto by Finnish harpist Einojuhani Rautavaara, showcasing OSM Principal Harp Jennifer Swartz. This young conductor, who takes to the OSM podium for the first time, will conclude with Shostakovich’s First Symphony, a youthful work that fluctuates between irony and tragedy.
