This holiday season, the MAB-Mackay Foundation is joining with I Medici di McGill Orchestra of the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University — a talented group of physicians, students, medical faculty, colleagues and friends — to bring the freedom to move to more Canadians with accessibility needs.
Gilles Auger, Chef d’orchestre /Conductor
Programme / Program:
Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827): Coriolanus Overture, op 62
Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741): The Four Seasons, Winter.
Soloist: Jason Biem, Concertmaster
Joseph Rheinberger (1839-1901): Organ Concerto No 1, op 137
Soloist: Jonathan Oldengarm, Director of Music, St. Andrew and St. Paul Church
Edward Elgar (1857-1934): Variations on an Original Theme ‘Enigma’, Op.36
Together, we are raising money for the adapted-driving program at the Constance Lethbridge Rehabilitation Centre. Through this program, people with accessibility needs are able to drive, empowering them to live more independent, fulfilling lives whether that means driving to the grocery store or taking the road trip of a lifetime.
As the organist moves his hands and feet across the instrument, let the music move you to join us in this unique celebration of the freedom that comes from being in motion.
