Pianist Jean-François Groulx offers us his unique takes on some of the most beautiful mélodies penned by Ennio Morricone, known world-wide for his movie soundtracks like Once Upon a Time in the West, Once Upon a Time in America and The Mission. Without taking too much liberty from the original, the pianist chose lyrical pieces with an enchanting mood to them, all easily recognizable, yet with different harmonies to give them his own slant. A cross section of Morricone tunes, both known and more obscure, has been re-arranged for piano to give them a more modern touch, all performed with great sensitivity,
