The Kristian Braathen Trio was formed in 2008 and has established a distinctive musical voice

rooted in the rich traditions of the jazz piano trio. Drawing inspiration from acclaimed ensembles such as the Ray Brown Trio, the Bill Charlap Trio, and the Jacky Terrasson Trio, the group blends sophisticated interplay, lyrical expression, and dynamic swing into a sound that is both timeless and contemporary. The trio features Miles Black on piano, Steve Holy on acoustic bass, and Kristian Braathen on drums
