Each year, the Toronto Blues Society searches its undiscovered blues talent from across the region. Six finalists are selected to perform for a professional development package including festival gigs, mentorship meetings, studio time, graphic design and much more! The 6 Finalists will perform and the winner will be chosen.
The Toronto Blues Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of blues music in Toronto, Canada. Established in 1985, it serves as a hub for blues enthusiasts, musicians, and industry professionals, hosting events, workshops, and educational programs to celebrate and support the blues genre. The society also publishes Maple Blues Newsletter, a monthly online magazine highlighting local and international blues artists, and organizes shows Women’s Blues Revue and The Canadian Blues Music Awards Gala (Formerly known as The Maple Blues Awards), recognizing excellence in Canadian blues music. Through its efforts, the Toronto Blues Society plays a vital role in nurturing and sustaining a vibrant blues community in the city and beyond.
