Huntsville Festival: Oh So Sweet-The Songs of Gordon Lightfoot

0

A powerful tribute to the legendary Gordon Lightfoot, celebrating the timeless songs that helped define the Canadian musical landscape. Featuring an exceptional all-Canadian, multi-instrument band, this celebration of Gordon Lightfoot’s music is led by vocalist and guitarist John Stinson, alongside music director and multi-instrumentalist Bob Doidge (Lightfoot’s longtime record producer), bassist Steve Eyers (Lightfoot’s nephew), and lead guitarist Eric Kidd (trained by Red Shea himself).  The show faithfully recreates classics like “Sundown,” “If You Could Read My Mind,” and “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” with warmth, authenticity, and deep respect. More than a concert, this is a journey through storytelling, melody, and memory—capturing the spirit of one of Canada’s greatest songwriters. Beloved by longtime fans and new audiences alike, this performance keeps Lightfoot’s enduring legacy shining brightly on stage.
