The charm of music en plein air filled the atmosphere in the city of Joliette where the Festival Lanaudière hosted the esteemed Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal.
The Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and Music Director Rafael Payare are thrilled to unveil the OSM’s 2024 summer programming, featuring among other events the Orchestra’s 11th Virée classique.
It was such a privilege to watch Pires step back into the Montréal limelight for this special concert – accompanied by the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal.
This year’s OSMose at the Maison Symphonique featured a program of excerpts from 13 well-known pieces, most notably Edvard Grieg’s ‘Morning Mood’ from Peer Gynt, “Hedwig’s Theme” from John Williams’ iconic Harry Potter score, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee, and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ode to Joy.
Next November, the OSM is set to embark on its 59th international tour. This eight-concert tour will also be the OSM’s fourth one under Music Director Rafael Payare
