The 45th Season of The Elora Festival begins on July 5 and runs for 3 weekends in “Ontario’s most beautiful village”!  Whether this is your first encounter with the Festival, or you’ve been coming for years, we know you’ll find extraordinary musical experiences to enjoy, as we bring the best of the world to Elora, ON.

Our concerts take place in the fabulous and unique Gambrel Barn, in the intimate setting of St. John’s Church, in Melville United Church in nearby Fergus, ON, and throughout Elora with free music in the village Green Space.

The Elora Festival opens with Joseph Haydn’s The Creation featuring Canadian soloists Claire de Sévigné, Isaiah Bell and Tyler Duncan, The Elora Singers and Musicians of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, under the direction of Mark Vuorinen.

The Festival features 12 performances by our Ensemble-in-Residence, the JUNO- and GRAMMY-nominated Elora Singers. Their programs will include one featuring the music of Benjamin Britten, a candle-lit Twilight program of music for the end of day, a tribute to the legacy of Johann Sebastian Bach, and the always-popular, Unplugged

Guest artists include JUNO-winning jazz sensation Laila Biali, Montreal’s Constantinople ensemble with Corsican singing group, A Filetta, the Gryphon Trio, cellist Elinor Frey, Tyler Duncan and Erika Switzer in recital, CBC Radio’s Tom Allen and friends, the Elmer Iseler Singers, and members of the Musicians of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony.

You can also experience an immersive music experience on a gentle hike for Music in the Woods, or bring the whole family to our Barn Dance or a special performance of The Magic Flute, created for families by Shoestring Opera.

We’re also proud to welcome The King’s Singers from England for their only Canadian date on their 2024 tour.

Our 45th season comes to a close with the Elmer Isler Singers and our colleagues at Festival of the Sound, both of whom also celebrate their 45th anniversary this year. We’ll be performing a program that includes Carl Off’s thunderous Carmina Burana with soloists Leslie Fagan, Andrew Haji, and Russell Braun, along with piano duo Anagoson and Kinton, and percussionist Beverley Johnson.
